Purrch is designed to run on your Mac with as little data as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, and no cross-app tracking. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do.
Purrch does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, contacts, location, browsing history, files, or the contents of your screen, apps, calendar, or keystrokes. It only uses the system-provided idle time, the active-work time during the current session, and screen lock/unlock state to decide when to offer a break.
The camera is an optional feature and is off by default. When you turn it on, video frames are processed only in memory on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework to recognize body key points and draw an anonymous silhouette. The raw camera image is never displayed, never recorded, never written to disk, and never uploaded. Turn the camera off and Purrch keeps guiding every movement.
To understand whether the app is helpful, Purrch sends a small number of anonymous, aggregate signals through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These signals record only that a coarse step happened — for example, that a first session was completed or that the camera was turned on. They never include any personal data, camera frames, body key points, application names, window titles, or screen contents, and they are not used to track you across apps or services. You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Camera & Privacy.
Your preferences and session counts are stored locally on your Mac (in the app's UserDefaults). Removing the app and clearing its container deletes them.
Purrch is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
